A REPORT ON NUTRITION DAY CELEBRATION BY FIRST YEAR GNM STUDENTS.

As a part of our nutrition requirements on 6th November 2023, we organized nutrition day celebration under the supervision of the community health nursing teachers -Mrs. Chaithra mam, Ms. Merlin mam and Mr. Subin sir.

In this occasion the entire class was first divided into five groups of ten members each and each group was given different dishes to prepare. Each group prepared the dishes with low budget as per the requirement for different health problems.

On 7th Monday morning we collected all the materials for the preparation and brought it to class. From the class 5 students of each group were asked to go to nutrition lab for the preparation and other students were asked to prepare a chart on each dish.

By 9.30 am the students started the preparation of their dishes and other students started preparing their charts. The guidelines were given to the students by Mrs.Chaithra mam, Ms. Merlin mam, and Mr.Subin sir, and they supervised it well.

By 12:30pm we completed our preparation of chart and dishes and we arranged our class for the exhibition of the food items we prepared and chart we made. The food items were well Prepared and garnished. The chart contain a picture of the food item, the nutrients and it’s presence in the food item.

The exhibition was from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. At that time the teachers and students from different classes including the Principal , HOD, class coordinator and all other teachers came visited and tasted our food items and gave good feedback for our preparations. By 2pm we completed our programs and we cleaned the nutrition lab and arranged back our class room. By 3:30 pm we concluded our entire program including cleaning as part of our nutrition day.
